Garage Sale
Free stall spots available for selling your merchandise or services. Turn up in morning 8-9am on the day for set up and nab the best possie. This is Laingholm’s biggest clearance sale day of the year!
Free Live Music
GMC (Gentlemen’s Music Club) once again volunteered to entertain us all with their music talents. We really enjoyed the versatile arrangement they put together this year, with the music flowing well throughout the whole venue. Neil, Greg, & Pat have all been involved with supporting our local community for some years now. A big thank you to the guys for offering to step up and perform once again.
Free Coffee Truck
Thanks Brigid & Sacha from the Dream Team at Barfoot & Thompson for sponsoring everyone with free coffee and hot chocolates
Laingholm Kindergarten
Thanks to all the folk from Laingholm Kindergarten for bringing so many yummy cakes and other things to sell. The proceeds you have raised will be topped up with proceeds from the sausage sizzle & refreshment sales (all provided free of charge by Laingholm Neighbourhood Support)

The Great Plant Swap
Swap plants and seeds. People made a plant gift for neighbours with something they had . Garden produce was sold. Garden tips or recipes for food were shared. Ecomatters Environmental Trust provided their diplay and brochures at the Community Hall
Free Magic Show
Alan Watson was a big hit with both the children and adults this year. It was great to hear the loud gasps of surprise and excitement from all the children as he amazed them with his tricks & illusions. In the 2015 New Years Honors list it was announced that Alan Watson was a recipient of The Queens Service Medal (QSM) – For services as a magician.
Alan is regarded by his peers as one of this country’s leading magicians.
Giant Bubbles
This was a giant fun attraction this year. Everyone loved making the bubbles. Giant Bubbles love bringing joy, magic, and wonder to all those who see their Giant Bubble shows and to everyone who creates their own. Thank you to Shahn from Giant Bubbles (a Laingholm based business) for generously supplying their products to help make the day a blast for the kids… and us big kids.
Laingholm Volunteer Fire Brigade
The Laingholm Volunteer Fire Brigade displayed some amazing appliances on the day including this giant RNZAF crash tender from Whenuapai airbase. LVFB is made up of volunteers from the local community to provide emergency services to Laingholm and surrounding areas. Free Bouncy Castle
Like everyone, we believe that celebrations should be full of as much fun & excitement as possible! Kid’s loved to leap around and use up all that energy on the day. Due to the uncertainty in the weather the castle was set up in the Langholm Primary School hall. Once again, thank you to Brigid & Sacha for sponsoring the bouncy castle.
Buzz Club

Face Painting
We have a talented and friendly face painting artist, who will delight you and your children with their friendly manner and their artistic talents.
Japanese Ju Jutsu
Auckland Traditional Japanese Ju Jutsu ran their normal Ju Jutsu class upstairs at the Laingholm Community Hall from 9am-11am. Please feel free to wander up and check out at what they do. For more info please contact Jules Robson click here.
Ice Cream Cones
The local Neighbourhood Support team provided yummy ice cream cones in a choice of vanilla, chocolate, caramel, jelly tip, mint, and boysenberry flavours. All proceeds going towards supporting our local Primary School & Kindergarten. (all provided free of charge by Laingholm Neighbourhood Support)
Sausage Sizzle
We put on a sausage sizzle BBQ to keep everyone well fed. It was great to get some good feedback about how tasty people found these sausages and choice of toppings. A big thank you to John and Pam who put their hands up to be our BBQ cooks on the day. All proceeds going towards supporting our local Primary School & Kindergarten. Soft Drinks
There were plenty of canned soft drinks available or free water. Choice of Coke, Coke (no sugar), Sprite, L&P, Pepsi Max, Pepsi Max Vanilla. All proceeds going towards supporting our local Primary School & Kindergarten. (all provided free of charge by Laingholm Neighbourhood Support)
